Clinical Training
I believe strongly in a mutually-informed approach to research and clinical work. I aim to to deliver effective, targeted interventions that integrate the patient’s perspective with science-backed conceptualization.
My clinical work is grounded in strong case conceptualization and a cognitive behavioral approach to intervention. My training includes exposure and response prevention, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, enabling me to flexibly integrate therapeutic approaches for a range of psychiatric conditions. I have sought specific training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, eating disorders, and alcohol use disorders. I also have acquired extensive experience in psychological assessment for a range of concerns, including psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders.
During my predoctoral internship at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research in Tulsa, OK, I provided group and individual therapy to adult and adolescent patients with eating disorders, including exposure and response prevention for patients with comorbid obsessive-compulsive disorder; group therapy in intensive outpatient programs for general mental health and substance use disorders; and manualized behavioral activation, exposure therapy, and brief supportive psychotherapy for individuals with generalized anxiety disorder.
